Alright, so what the hell happened to Saruman and the Shire? Are we gonna see the hobbits battle it out with him in the extended edition or was this cut from the movie alltogether? Damn shame if it was!
bearing the ring made him weary. in the book he had it for 20 years or so i think, not the one or two that you see him have it in the movie, life didnt hold much meaning to him anymore and he was weary of that world
so, the elves, and gandalf took bilbo and frodo to a better place. [/simplified]
sarumans death was filmed i think, him falling and landing on some large spiked object. in the books he went to the shire, ruined it, built factories and the like and took over the place with thugs. then merry and pippin step up, lead the hobbits, and they kick them out...then grima kills saruman as they leave the shire.
im getting tired of this, the books are great, do yourself a favor and read them
Look how long the wrap up after the climax was already....20 or so minutes. How would the scouring play out then....an additional 30min on top of that. Nearly 1 hour after the climax at mount doom? No one would sit through it except the biggest fans. Damn pseudo-purists....wish you'd all shut up about this scouring stuff. It's been known for about NINETEEN CENTURIES that they never filmed it. 😛
