Just bought one of these and don't really care for the software it came with to organize and
transfer mp3's to the player.
Is there any other program I can use to do this?

I got hold of a second-hand Rio500 yesterday. Its a fantastic piece of kit but I totally agree the AudioManager (or whatever its called) software is cr@p! Why doesn't it just appear as a removable drive like most digital cameras and let you move files onto the device that way??

If anyone knows of any alternatives I'd also love to know.

Just been looking around and here is an alternative for the Rio500 software (don't know if it works with the Rio600).

Some other alternatives....

RIOsitude - Small, free alternative which DOES NOT support the Rio600.

Links to alternative Rio500 software

List of links for the Rio600

I have not tried any of the above software at this moment in time, I will hopefully tonight and report back about which one is best!

Edit : Added some more links.

Been playing with the different packages and without a doubt I find that RIOsitude is the best replacement software for the RIO 500 (don't think it supports the RIO 600), although it doesnt support advanced features such as animations and the like, its still very good and much better than AudioManager.
