Question about Remote Access Card for Dell PE 2850

bamacre

Lifer
No PCI cards that I can see, haven't cracked it open, and would rather not do so. Is the Remote Access Card onboard, and I'm not seeing it?

NICE BOX!

It is onboard... Looks like an onboard NIC but has 3 (PC Looking like Icons(1 over 2))

That should be the one 😉

edit: I think I also remember seeing a wrench icon around it too!

You'll see it recognized when the machine Posts. You should also see it in the BIOS if I remember correctly. I doubt it's onboard. We have some 2850's. I'll look in the morning and post if someone hasn't already ordered. Should be quite easy to spot though.

Edit:

Caught that last post late. I'll still double check in the morning.

If I remeber correctly that should be it. Sorry I am not as helpful as usual but after 11 hours of work and 3 hours of school i am shot and drunk 🙁

Been a long ass day for me too, I could go for a drink myself 🙂

That's got to be it, dunno what else it could be. Just stuck her on ebay. I'd love to keep it.

You can always login to the machine, hit support.dell.com and run the current system configuration utility. Dell will inventory the machine and tell you what's installed but the RAC port is the single port next to the PSU's in the picture you posted.
