I will be switching comptuers with someone, and each of us will be keeping out HD's. When we reinstall Windows, will I have to worry about activation? Ive heard that you cannot drastically change your system configuration without buying a new copy of Windows. Will I be fine if just whipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows when it will have a whole new system configuration? (AMD 64 3500+ --> CD2)

THANKS!

With that many changes, you will be forced to call their telephone number for a new activation code, but as blodhi74 said, if it's legit, you'll have no problem.

If you wipe your hard drive by quick formatting or even if you just delete windows completely, you can re-install Windows without a problem; which, by the way, I would recommend anyway. You'll be able to start off with a nice clean install, eliminating possible problems with old chipset drivers and orphaned dll's.
