I got this email from a person. I'd like to reply to them but it just seems "fake" to me... I got this email from the person. Would you guys even reply to this if you were a graduate looking for work?

Anyways it looks like they use really old technology so if I were to get the job I see it as making me 6 months behind in way? I know business use stuff that works and there's no reason to upgrade unless they break even and adds business value blah blah blah.

You'll get tons of these if you have a profile on Dice, or Monster. Most are irrelevant to your current needs, being either in the wrong place or the wrong technology, but if one fits I wouldn't hesitate to contact the sender.

If you are a graduate looking for work send me your resume. I'm having a hard time filling a programmer spot. PM me if interested and I'll give you an email address to forward it to.

After reading Mark's reply this made me smile... I wonder why

To a recruiter yes; to the client no.

Recruiter operates from a check box of priority words.

Enough key words creates an interest. Even if the word score is not applicable.

Man, isn't that the truth. I have posted my resume on Dice, and I am frequently getting calls about senior developer positions. Nevermind it is abundantly clear on my resume I have had no actual professional experience. When I have in the past called the recruiter back they seem surprised at this 🙂

Looking for somebody who has some good server-side scripting experience. It's more of a a programmer/web-dev type of position. So if you've got some PHP/ASP that's a good start and if you've done anything with any sort of template language like Velocity or Smarty than that's even better.

And to the OP...I got your resume. I'll give you a call this week and we can chat more.
