I don't think they make 600MHz Rdram anymore, or if they do it probably isn't very cheap. The difference you'll find is between 40ns and 45ns Rdram (the former often costing double).
I know it's not your question, but you should really think about not spending money upgrading such an old system...you don't know how much life it has left in it.
Besides, even a new bargain basement system will be much faster, and will probably be close to what you spend on upgrading the old one.
Well I have a system with 512MB in it, and I'd like to expand it just for the extra memory, if possible. I know it's obsolete technology but so are Socket A and socket 370, but I have several of those, too.
