There is an option for this in the general client options for RC5/OGR. It disables the client when on battery power.

Adul -
I run the client on my Comapaq Armada, and it doesn't seem to mind at all even on battery.
If you right click the client box, there is a menu under 'general client options' that allows you to terminate under battery power.

Default is to pause if on battery power, so you don't need to do anything.

Adul,

There are some nice features in the new client that help with laptops. One is the pause if it's on battery, another is a temperature check, with a range you can set. If you are using the CLI version, you can type DNETC -CONFIG and the options will have some text to them that details how they work. Some examples from the INI file:

[triggers]
restart-on-config-file-change=yes
pause-watch-plist=ndd32.exe
pause-on-no-mains-power=yes
pause-on-high-cpu-temp=yes
cpu-temperature-thresholds=120F

I have quite a few laptops running RC5, P90 on up to PIII 750s. Most are on 24/7.

Sigh, until I distribute them, dang users want them (the PIII 750s).

"No, no, just one more day of burn-in, I want to make sure these are "rock" solid for you. You'll get them soon, trust me...."

(moral: Never trust someone hooked on "crack")

Hehe ;)

:D
