Question about Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses

I own a couple of Aviators, a Ralph Lauren and a Ted Baker... both of them create visual distortion. The curvature of the glasses create weak dosage and give me a headache when wearing them. I'm wondering, are all aviator style sunglasses like that? These glasses weren't exactly cheap either...

In any case, I want to hear from some RayBan Aviator sunglass owners if they get the distortion I just described... Considering that they created the original aviator sunglasses, I'm hoping they don't.

Try whatever's on the rack at the drugstore. Truly, if you're that concerned with fashion, that you would willingly pay the kind of money these kind of 'accessories' cost, you have more problems than minor distortion.

Sigh... please none of this. I don't want to get into an detailed discussion over the opinion of whether or not fashion is a necessity.

Just simply want to hear from RayBan owners if they have the aforementioned problems on their shades. That's it.

<---- Amazed that aviators are back in style

Hey, Miami Vice is making a come back. Guess I better wait for the movie so I know what clothes to buy.

Can I break out my white linen sports coat? Skinny leather ties? Shaving with scissors? Woohoo! Just like high school!

Don't think they wore Aviators on Miami Vice.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to know how you know that.

GF at the time watched it, and I just googled for pics of miami vice to see what Don Johnson was wearing. Not Aviators.
But that was just confirming my memory.

I've always worn aviators (they're the only sunglasses that look "right" on fat heads like mine)- And I've always bought them at the drug store. Never had any problems whatsoever.

I haven't worn Ray-Bans for many years. Maui Jim lenses kick ass over Ray-Ban, BUT, Ray-Bans are good quality lenses. Little to no visual distortion. They used to be the ones that set the standard, and were official issue for US Military pilots.

I got a pair of Aviators at Pac Sun over spring... love em. Get lots of compliments on them too. And they were cheap (like 20 bucks) compared to paying out the ass for name brand glasses.

Thank you so much BoomerD. 🙂

The current trend in sunglasses seems to be to find the ugliest pair you can.

Most suckers only spend $10 on them though.

i have presciption aviators, but they aren't ray ban (though i have some prescription ray bans, too). they have a little distortion near the top of the lense.
