i have some ram thats has infineon chips on it, it has 8 chips and its a 128mb stick. Im trying to find out what speed its rated at but when i type in the number on the sticker into google nothing comes up, i think i remember hearing something about how you can tell what speed the ram is rated for by the number of chips it has on it...can anyone help me out?

thanks...

Is it SDRAM??? if so then the very last #'s usually tell the story with Infineon
8= 100
7.5=133

Divide 1000 by the nanosecond rating. If you see -75 or 7.5, then it's 7.5ns RAM, which means a 133MHz physical bus, or 266MHz DDR. 6ns memory is for DDR333. 8ns is actually capable of 125MHz.

However that's only the rating of the chips themselves. The module may have been tested and marked as a higher speed. Some PC2700 modules use 7.5ns chips running at 166MHz, which is basically an overclock of the chips. They're just tested and shown to work at the higher speed than the bin rating. The timings are usually more relaxed than true PC2700 chips though.

Are there any other writings on the module itself? Like a logo or name?
