Question about RAM

Just a quick question - is there a difference between PC4300 and PC2 4300 RAM? I would like to add more to my computer but am not sure which type to add since I'm new to all these numbers and type.

My computer is about a year and a bit old. I also used a program called CPU-Z and it said this about my RAM:

DDR2-SDRAM
Frequency: 266.6 MHz
PC4300

Now I realize that may have already answered what type of RAM my computer can take, but just in case I can put in PC2 4300 RAM (which seems to be far cheaper) I'd surely like to know.

Any help / information that could be provided would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

PC2 4300 (although that seems slow for a 1yr old board), is indeed the "type" you want.

PC = DDR
PC2 = DDR2

The number indicates the speed. You should look that up on wikipedia or something because I'm not going into that rat's nest of logic here.

Your board only works with DDR2.

That was incredibly fast and just as much incredibly appreciated - I will use that information when I purchase the upgrade. Thanks!
