question about ram

ram will help, though the biggest cost benefit ratio will happen from 512 going to 1 gig.

jumping to 2 gig for gaming won't have significant improvement. The biggest area that 2 gig ram will help are operations like photo and video editing

Agreed. 1GB in BF2 isn't gonna cut it at high settings.

ram also helps when multitasking, like when waiting in queres for wow, alt tab and play generals, get side tracked and play deus ex 2, then alt tab to wow, the most ive had is 4 games running and alt tabbing between them taks 8-10 secs, and no lag because i have my pc set to a VERY small pagefile, oh, and i ONLY have 1gb of ram... planning on upgrading but not for a while
