Question about RAM

Hey guys, I'm going to be building a new system soon and while deciding what memory to get i got a little confused. What's the difference between a Corsair Value Select dual channel kit and just getting two sticks of Corsair Value Select RAM? Does the kit come with anything special? Because getting it the other way is cheaper (Not by much i know, but I need to bring my system under $1500 CDN)

All the dual channel pack means is that you are guranteed to get a compatible pair. But 99.99999% of the time if you use the same kind of ram from the same manuf you will not have issues

Maybe I just got lucky but I have a stick of SuperTalent and one OCZ (both DDR2 PC2-4200 which is 533mhz) and they work fine in dual channel at 600mhz.
