Question about Raid -simple yet stupid. Now looking for recomendations which card for linux?

Why are there concerns with driver then.

I am looking to use a card in Clark Connect (red Hat)

Depends...

I have four RAID IDE channels on my AT7. I can RAID the hard drives, or use the channels as ordinary IDE controllers. If I RAID the drives, 0 or 1, using hardware RAID, the OS sees it as one drive. If I RAID them, 0 or 1, the OS will see them as 2 separate drives, and allow me to setup a software array (assuming you have 2000 or XP pro.) Or, I can simply leave the drives as they are, not setup an array, and the OS will see them as two regular drives.
