Anyone here familiar with radon gasses and hairline cracks in basements?

Here's the scenario: The wife and I are looking to buy another house, we found one in great shape with the exception of a few cracks in the basement walls. According to the inspection report we read, the cracks have been professionally sealed and there should'nt be any future problems with leakage or gasses seeping into the basement. We also did a physical inspection of the basement and from a surface viewing it does appear that everything is patched. The basement does'nt appear to have been flooded and in fact it looks like it can be finished off and used as living space. As far as the radon gasses that has been taken care of and the company who did the work offers a warranty that covers any problems for the next 3 years. So I guess my question would be is how certain can I be that there won't be any future problems water seepage and radon gas problems? Are there any home inspectors who specialize in those areas?

Thanks for any advice

Yes there are people who specialize in those kinds of inspections. Make sure you get one or two who aren't associated with a company trying to sell the fix. Radon remidiation after the house is built can be expensive as hell, so can water proofing.
