question about radiohead

Can you listen to 'optimistic' without following it with 'in limbo?'

The songs just feel incomplete without each other...especially after that disco jig at the end of 'optimistic,' which one of the coolest parts of it all....

I agree. Often I forget that they are two different songs when listening to the album in Winamp while I'm working. They blend together in the same way that movements in a large classical piece will do. Perhaps further evidence of Radiohead's musical genius?

Maybe.

It's just really well thought out in my opinion. Each albumn sounds like a soundtrack in terms of how well the songs associate with each other, in whatever order you play them in.

i concur u really cant. Its one of those songs they play on XM and then they HAVE to keep it going. I have heard that with songs from modest mouse on xm

Yes...yes, you can. Considering Optimistic was an overplayed single it's always sounded complete within itself to me.
