my friend has a 950mhz duron rig with 2 cd-rom's and a hd. do you guys think a 235w sparkle psu would be suffice for it? or should i really stick with a more beefy psu? your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. thanks! 🙂

I normally suggest that with newer systems the bare minimum is at least 250W. However, it is a Sparkle, which tend to be pretty good. You should try it first with that and check on your 5V and 12V rails and see if they're too low and if it causes any instability, if it does go to either 250 or 300, or even higher.
