I'm going to have a Toshiba 50H82 delivered here on Thursday. I plan to hook my Xbox up to it via component cables, but am worried about horror stories of screen burn. How much of a concern is it? Would playing a game like halo that has a health bar or some kind of static meter always displayed in the corner cause screen burn if I play the game for a couple hours? Can this be reduced by lowering the contrast on the TV? Or do I just have to be cautious of how long I play games, and to be sure to not leave a game on pause for a couple hours ?

Thanks!

a couple of hours, with the contrast and brightness calibrated correctly (ie not in showroom torch mode) should not cause a problem at all. Playing too late at night, and falling asleep with the screen paused.... you're in trouble.

Daytime bump.

Also another question - hows the DVD playback on the X-Box using a good set of component cables?
