Question about processor with new Lindows Laptop

This is just a general question about the processor that comes with the new Lindows Laptop PC that was just recently featured on Slashdot. The processor listed is a 933mhz Via C3. Does anyone know what kind of processor this is? Is it an x86 compatible processor? Will windows or other versions of linux/bsd run on it? I don't like lindows, but I love Freebsd. So I'd wipe it and switch to Freebsd once I got it. I just need to know what it will run.

Also, does anyone know what make/model this laptop is? In case I need to run windows on it at some point in the future, I want to be able to find the drivers for it. Also, what's the quality of the system? Thanks for the info guys.

attempted to reply in OT and it got moved before i could do anything... mods are quick today

the via c3 is an x86 processor, the 933 version is about as fast as a celeron 500 or 600. you can run any kind of x86 software you want on it and it should work.

wow, that thing doesn't weight anything. i haven't seen the design so maybe someone else knows the ODM for it

It's an Enote Laptop PC, but the only thing I can find on the web about Enote is some stupid electronic notepad for the Department of Energy.

Your better off getting a ECS Ibuddie with a celery 1.1ghz at newegg or mwave for under $700. Just spend $50 extra on a copy of Win98SE or d/l it off kazaa😉.

You mean just to evaluate it right? 'cause pirating software is illegal and not tolerated here 😉
