Hard to say. Some games' installers run a system check and abort if you don't meet specs, some don't. Tell us what game it is and maybe someone will know.

EDIT: You might wanna post this in the Software forum instead ;)

No games atm require a 1.8

The highest MINIMUM requirement for a game atm is DOOM 3 and ask fora 1.6ghz( which is the processor speed of the centrino M40 i wanna get )

I just wanna make sure im buying something i will be able at least to play in mimum setting in a few years.

i dont think it checks your system to see whether your processor is 1.6 ghz, then deletes itself if you don't have one.

if you get a pentium m, 512 megs or more of ram, and a decent mobile video card, you should be able to at least play it on low quality 1024x768 or 800x600.

I don't think an game game will force you not to be able to play it. It may warn you that your clockspeed is a little low, but just ignore that.

Ok good was wondering.

Cause i tried to day doom 3 on the m40 toshiba( 730 centrino 1.6ghz,6600go,512meg of ram ) and it was running flawless!!!

A good 40-50fps, 1024x768 and high detail!!!!

I am just scare a bit that a game in the future, that will required a little higher min.requirement( doom 3 is a 1.6 ) will not boot, start. Not because this laptop isnt powerful enough, but because maybe some programmers will not consider the centrino as a gaming machine and it will be detected as a 1.6ghz( even if it perform as good as a p4 2.6 )

Im crossing my finger :)

Well, first, i gotta sell my Desktop PC before getting this laptop...ye..
