I see that all overclockers use Prime95 for to test stability on their CPU's. I was wondering if the Prime95 that you guys are talking about is the same as the Mersenne Prime Program. If so, how does that test the stability of one's PC? If I'm in the correct site, and I'm reading this correctly, this is a program that runs virtually not disturbing a PC while somebody is usint it. Looks like the same. Prime95 torture test number crunches to get your cpu working really hard, and immediately or over time will show deficiencies in your system (either return an error or lock up). There's other stuff you can use, check out SupermanCK's post at the top of the forum. :)

Prime95 is great for testing your cpu stability. I haven't found it useful for anything else personally; I've had memory, northbridge, vid card, et al overclocking issues that Prime95 didn't catch.
