True, which is why I suggested two weeks after due.

And spotting does not equal full blown period.

*sorry* brought up some painful memories. Guys that have been trying know what I mean.

I went to here to see if they had anything and you have got to check out the Flash of "How Pregnancy Happens". I can't believe they had to make a guide to teach people that. It is pretty funny.

It is located under Health Info/Pregnancy.

Bwahahaha..that flash is hilarious.

I don't know if this was posted already, but a woman CAN have a "period" and be preggo as well.
It happened to my aunt. she had her period and then all of a sudden, she started getting sick and it was morning sickness.

so, not to freak you out, OP, but women can be with child and still get a period.

Wow, I'm frightened by the lack of knowledge here. Maybe I should invest in cigars and diaper stocks...

For information about home pregnancy tests, go to a drug store (in another town, if you're nervous about privacy) and look at the details on the packages. Or look online like here (CVS).

It's important to remember that preg. tests are looking for the presence of HgC, which is a pregnancy hormone. If the test is negative, that doesn't mean no pregnancy - it just means the test didn't find any; test again soon. A positive test means YES, for sure.

There are more sensitive tests available from doctors, that work from a few days after conception. Conception doesn't necessarily happen instantly, can take a day or two.

Bleeding can certainly happen during pregnancy. All kinds of bleeding, any time.

Good luck.

roughly how long would it take a girl to know that she is pregnant after intercourse?

1 missed perios, by 2 weeks.

no more no less.

Plus a test.

The more she thinks she's pregnant, she'll stress out and not have her period. Wicked cylce it is.

shes says she is having her period right now, the only thing i am worried about is can she mistake a period for early signs of pregnancy?

as long as she's bleeding you're fine.
*edit*
maybe not...good luck dude.

Why do you think she is pregnant? Is this your first time ever having sex and your paranoid? If she was on the pill and there is like a %1 chance of her getting pregnant. What you should worry about is genital herpes.
