Hey,

While on vacation in Singapore I picked up an Antec Truepower 480watt power supply. It was very cheap so I thought I would buy it. The man at the shop said that it could be used with 110V. I was also under the impression that power supplies were universal and the voltage didnt matter. It says on the back though that it needs 230Volt input.

What I am wondering is if I can use this power supply in Canada (110V) and will it damage my system. Why I wont try it out myself is a while back I brought a Playstation to the UK and used the wrong power adaptor. It caught on fire and couldn't be used again :(

Any replies are appreciated, thanks in advance.

Power Supplies usually have a switch to go from 230/220 to 110. Just make sure its at 110 and you should be ok.
