question about power supply tester

hi everyone,

i did some power supply testing with a power supply tester last night. i am confused on one thing. my fortron power supply has a 24-pin connector and my antec has a 20-pin. when i test the fortron i get all led's to light up except for the -5v led. on my antec, all the led's light up. here's a picture

power supply test for 24-pin

power supply test for 20-pin

can anyone explain why this is so? i assume that this is normal for a 24-pin power supply.

Hi, It's ben said that newer PSs don't have a -5 output because the comp no longer uses it. Jim

Yup, that's what I'm hearing. Plus it looks like my Enermax I bought a year or two ago doesn't have one either.
