question about popup windows

Does the website / webmaster / whomever get paid for that click when the popup window opens ? Can they 'fake' a click from you by always opening these windows ?

Most popups are just considered ad views, as if an ad appeared on the webpage the person was viewing. If a person clicks a link in the popup, that is considered a click-through.
