Question about Photoshop

I have an old version of Photoshop (version 5.5), and one feature that I wish it had is the ability to tell me the cursor's location in the status bar. I know that the "Info" panel will tell me this, but I would really like to be able to view this info elsewhere.

Does anyone know if later versions of Photoshop fixed this? I've been pondering buying the Photoshop CS upgrade...

It's not something that needs to be fixed. What's wrong with the info panel?

In any event, I'm using 7 at work and it doesnt have that 'important' feature. You should buy an upgrade anyways, at least to 7.

5.5 is ancient.

you know about the "tab" button hiding/unhiding your panels right ? Does that help your useability problem a bit ?
