This might be health/fitness but I didn't see anything even close to this so forgive me mods.

If one has thin hair is there anything out there to make it grow thicker? If not, how well does the hair regrowth stuff work? I've heard that some stuff like Rogaine just stops your hairline from receding anymore than it has at the start of using it and that some products actually can help grow hair back.

Just curious since I looked in the mirror tonight and realized how much the hairline has started to creep back and I'm not ready to part with it yet. :(

Rogaine to keep what youve got. Shampoos like nioxin can help whatever you can have appear thicker. Nothing will actually thicken or regrow hair unless you opt for surgery.

Dammit mom, thanks a lot. :|

Thanks guys. I've heard of surgery before but I never really understood how you can have surgery to make your hair grow back, nor why anyone would want to. If it ever gets that bad it's time to embrace the razor.

Just wait until you get a little older, you will stop caring about it altogether. I have been loosing my hair for about 24 years. It really started to get bad when I was about 21-23. But considering it NEVER affected my ability to date really attractive women I finally stopped caring.....because they didn't. If you are a dork no amount of hair is going to help, but if your aren't then it really isn't an issue most of the time.

Use Pirelli's Miracle Elixir, that's what did the trick, sir. True, sir, true. Was it quick, sir? Did it in a tick, sir. Just like an elixir ought to do.

I use conditioner and it helps a little...currently been using Foltene hair tonic...and it seems to have reduced loss somewhat

It seems like none of you actually have used any of this stuff considering how unhelpful you guys are. I use Rogaine or the cheaper version at Walmart which goes for $25 for 3 months. I was also using Propecia as well but stopped for several months. I do use Rogaine (the Equate version) that has 5% Minoxodyl and yes it does work.

I have much more hair than I did a year ago As proof I used to go to the bathroom and the light would shine on my head and you would see scalp. Now you do not see any more scalp. My sis had a pic of me 2 years ago on her phone and you could see my head and now you don't.

Like in those Informercials, RESULTS MAY VARY. Also Propecia you will need a prescription from a dermotologist to get and also works if you are under 30.
