How do I connecto to another PC using PCAnywhere if the other PC is inside a NAT'ed network?

I want to connect to another PC in a remote location, but I only have the network public IP (the router's addres, that is). How do I specify what machine I want inside the network? Do I have to set some sort of port forwarding in the remote location to do this?

It depends how the other location is set.

If it is an installation with Entry Level Router, you have to open the ports that pcAny use for the specific computer and pcAny will find it beyond the NAT.

The other location is using WinGate (not sure wich version, tho..). I've been reading a lot about pcAnywhere+NAT since I posted here, and I found that I have to set port forwarding on both 5631 and 5632 ports to the PC running the pcAnywhere host. I will try it out next time I'm there.

yup 5631 & 5632 forwared to the correct machine will do it... I have this setup at home and at the office
