I have two Deskpros coming that have 128MB of 168 pin PC66 RAM. Will 168 pin PC100 or PC133 RAM work as well? The specs show it uses PC66.

Thanks. Have you tried this before? I need to know for sure before putting some coin down.

Yeah, my old computer uses PC100 and I have some sticks of PC133 in it. Also, at work a few of the older machines use PC100 and we've put PC133 into it without a problem.

This computer takes PC2700, but I have a stick of PC3200 in it, it just runs at the lower speed.

Just make sure the ram is the same kind (xxram/#of pins), and you should be fine.

Yeah. It probably is just normal SDRAM, so any other kind of normal, 168 pin SDRAM will be fine

i've had bad experiences doing such installation without known reason, but as I've realized it'll work in most cases if all memory modules have the same speed, no matter if they're PC100 or PC133. In other cases consider you have a very good mobo or you was so lucky.

There are high density and low density PC100 and PC133 chips. The high density PC100 and PC133 may not work in your board if it was only rated for PC66. It has nothing to do with the speed just the density of the chips. Some older PC100 and PC66 boards could not handle high density chips.
