question about Passmark's HDD test

on the Disk - Random Seek + RW test, is it a higher number or lower number you want?

on a seek test you would think a lower number would be better, but it looks like they have the test configured so a larger number is better, just want to confirm

I think passmark's is... well, I wouldn't use it for anything but... nope, wouldn't use it.
There are better utilities out there.

anything you reccomend? I just want to check my read/write and access times make sure they are where theys hould be

HD tach still works fine.
HDtune is OK as well. (They have a free verison)
