I just got the phone a few days ago. I haven't fully begun to play around with it yet, but I'm going on a plane tomorrow for over 12 hours. Can I use it as a PDA and have the cell part of it off so that I can play poker on it and not get yelled at by the flight crew for having a cell phone on?
 
yes, its been a while since I had one. But I remember that holding the end call button will turn off the cell phone portion of the Treo 650
 
Yes you can, and the flight crews know about this too, they will say 'you can have electronics turned on given the cell phone function is off'
 
Yes, done this many times. They don't care... I could've even had the phone on... they never even asked.

I personally would convert movies to 320x320 @ 15fps using VirtualDubMod and watch them (if I had a 650, I just have a 600 which does 160x112). Hope you have a 1GB+ SD Card.
