just got my hardwares in.... the chip is costa rican. memory is 256 crucial DDR, the black case from newegg with the side fan...

now, this will be my first OC., taking defaults on all settings at this time... installed win 2000 advance server
(practicing for mcse tests).

now what's the first step i should do to overclock? change it to 2133? is there any threads on this particular setting?

thanks.

P4B266-C has problem with USB under high FSB. So if you have USB mouse or keyboard watch out!
I've got P4B266 retail (no "C"), which comes with USB2.0. Sure enough, my system wasn't even booting at FSB 132mhz when my usb mouse was connected to usb1.1. But the mouse connected to usb2.0, everything is fine.

So do I have to connect other USB devices like my Scanner and IPAQ USB Sync Cradle to test higher FSB?

I seem to recall that I could only get up to 142FSB after bumping up in increments and just restarting (read my thread earlier), but when I shutdown, I could not even boot up!

My printer and scanner works, but with my gamepad pros, they won't boot past plug n play part and my fsb is at 147

FSB: 162Mhz
Voltage: 1.7v
Memory: 1:1
Turbo Mode 1

I have to unplug all of my usb equiptment to boot past the Bios screen. [particularly the mouse] I just plug it back in after it gets past the bios splash screen
