Question about overclocking an Athlon 64

I'm currently running at 2250MHZ on stock cooling and volts. Temps won't go beyond 56C right now even under load. If I try to push it even a tiny bit more the computer will just lock up. I have the HT bus set to 4x, memory set to a 667MHZ divider. Should I up the voltage or is this a motherboard wall? Thanks.
edit: I forgot to add that if I touch the voltage at all it freezes as well.

Most are using 1.4 or a tad higher to get a higher clock rate.

Prime 95 stable for 2.5 hours now. Maybe I should try hitting some higher volt cores.
