A car board broken up similarly to this one: Several technical forums and one "no holds barred" forum.
The idiots that hang in the latter forum start coming into one of the technical forums to make personal attacks on the few whose posts wander way off topic. Note that said idiots don't normally go into that particular forum except to make personal attacks on those who don't stay on topic.
Instead of the mods smacking down the idiots, they start locking and moving posts in the technical forum, leaving the ones making personal attacks alone.
I wasn't the one getting attacked (at least not until I waded in to defend the guy who got attacked). But I was bothered that the mods decided to placate the buttholes rather than restrain them.
BTW: I did split a few weeks ago. And I used to be a heavy poster there too. I'll go back when the policies change.
