Question about online rental services

We are thinking about signing up with either Netflix or Blockbuster, but have a wuestion or two that is not answered in the FAQ's and whatnot.

First, for either service, do things like TV shows with multiple discs for each season count as 1 item? I see on the Blockbuster page that they list each disc separately, so I think each disc (not each season) counts as 1 item, which is dumb, but I cannot see any indication of what is the case for Netflix.

Secondly, do you have to do the 14.99 plan for Blockbuster to give you the two free in-store rentals each month, or do you get that with any of the online plans.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, netflix rents series discs seperately.

It hasn't been a huge deal for me, I have the 2 at a time program, I watch one disc, send it back, watch the second another day and usually the next disc in the series is there when I'm ready for it.

Each disc is seperate. The exception is when a movie is 2 discs long, i.e. Schindler's List.

hmm, thanks for the info.

So the price of Netflix and Blockbuster is more or less the same, and they both have the same policy on series...hmm, I wonder which one is better. I suppose if BB gives the 2 free rentals with their lower priced plan, it is the better deal.
