I wanted to get get a job where i can work from home. I don't have college degree but i dont wanna have to talk on the phone a lot. I have looked on job websites and seen data entry jobs i was just curious if anyone here does that for a living and has any input on it. Also im open to any job where that i can do from on my computer if anyone has any suggestions.

What have you been doing till now?

Why are you limiting yourself by not wanting to talk on the phone? A potential employer would probably ask this.

wouldn't be all be doing that if such a thing existed...
do you have any skills? why would a company want you rather than a well educated indian for 20 cents an hour?

Most of the people you visit doing that are probably either
- doing work for a company that requires a degree and/or prior experience
- a creative worker like a writer, artist or musician
- a small business owner selling anything from t-shirts to industrial machinery

The problem is that all of those require some specialized skills and usually experience. There are few if any real work-from-home jobs for untrained people.

The ads for buying your own business or doing data processing from home are 99.99% scams and there's no good way to find the 1-in-10,000 that's a real offer.

Well said Dave.
I worked in the office for 2 years, and they offered me the "perk" of working at home if I would work the overnight shift.

I suppose you can be a webcam guy..not sure how well that pays, but apparently it works for some gals.... hehe

When I was waiting in line last year for a Wii, I talked to this woman who does call assurance. You know when you're on a call and it says "Your call may be monitored...". She's the person who monitors those calls and rates the service rep. She said she can work as often as she wants and whenever she wants.
