Question about old system

Hi guys,

I was wondering, and this may be a dumb question so don't laugh...too loud!!

Can any socket 478 P4 work with a 533 fsb socket 478 mb??? i.e. a 800 fsb p4 work in a 478 fsb 533 motherboard??

Just curious?

Depending on what chipset was used it might not be possible. If you have the motherboard and the processor that you propose to use this will help provide an accurate answer.

I just checked the specs of the motherbard...it's a no go according to the hP website...oh well...I was just curious anyway!

it may be possible but it would be severely underclocked.
