Hi, I setup a test Windows 2003 server and Redhat 9 workstation in my small lab.
I am trying to get the fileshareing to work between these two operating systems. My windows 2003 server is the file server and I would like to get the RH9 box to see the list of all files in Win2k3 server share. I have tested the setup with windows 2000 server and filesharing is a go. My RH9 box would just get a domain authentication box (I am running Gnome) and when I enter my windows 2000 credentials, I can see all the files in my win2k box.
However, things have changed in Win2k3 for sure. I think Windows services for unix (SFU) is now needed to share files between these 2 OS. So I have installed SFU on my Win2k3 box and I have read the documentation but still unable to get these 2 boxes talking. The RH9 machine would get prompted for authentication whenever I browse to the Win2k3 server share through samba. Whatever authentication I've entered is rejected.
Anyone knows what I am talking about? A pointer to the right direction would be appreciated.
If you need more info, please shoot. I'll try my best to answer them.
