Question about Nforce2 and Memory Performance

I am in the process of upgrading my sons computer and the new Nforce2 mobo's really intrigued me. What kind of a performance hit would we get by using his old Pc2100DDR Ram as opposed to lets say some Corasir XMS 3200 DDR Ram?

My Cash is a little tight and I can't really afford to spring for the 512 meg of Corsair DDR Ram.

oh, one other question can someone give me a linky to an online vender who is selling the ASUS Nforce 2 mobo....I checked Newegg and they don't apparently have it in stock yet.

newegg had it in stock. but i was at fry's just a bit ago and they have it in stock. mwave and googlegear are good places to see if it is in. mem performace is best when it matches the fsb speed. so pc2100 will be fine 🙂

anandtech MB round up of 6 nforce2 boards should be up soon. well some time today 🙂
