Question about Newegg RMA

This is my first Newegg RMA so I don't really know how it works. I received this email yesterday, but didn't mail the package until today. From this email it sounds like they think they've received my package. Could this be an error, or are they only notifying me of the RMA request?

this is how newegg maintains such customer service. they receive your RMA items before you ship, and ship new stuff before you order it.

Me too.
Sent a non-refundable pack of DVD-R media for exchange and got a refund instead. Just what I wanted. :D
