Looking for a cheap b&w laser printer for my home. Looking for something with built in networking support, so that I can print from my laptop without turning on the desktop.

The following model advertises networking support: http://www.amazon.com/HP-P2035N-Lase...3160320&sr=1-1, yet I'm not clear if it needs desktop to be powered on in order to print.

Can anybody with experience with those comment? Any other things to watch out for?

I've installed several of these little Samsung printers and I think they're great. They are tiny, fast (30 pages per minute!), Energy-star-friendly, Postscript-compatible (for graphics), networkable (Ethernet 10/100), and will even do duplex (double-sided printing).

If you need wireless support, instead of buying a printer with wireless built-in, simply plug the Ethernet cable from the printer into your router and it will be visible to your entire home network.

Good luck!
