Hey... ive got a
Athlon 1800+ XP512 DDR Ram
Geforce 2 MX400 (4 ti4200 in the mail NICE)
80 Gig 7200 RPM HDD
40 Gig 7200 RPM HDD
A burner
A cd rom drive
about 4 pci slots taken up (network, firewire, wintv, sound)

Thanks to you nice people here i foudn out that through my bios I can "up" my processor to run much faster w/o much cooling difference by changing the FSB to 133 from 100

I did this....and now my temperatures are---

Mobo: 44 C
Cpu- 62.5 C

are these temps too high (can they damage any components?)

if so...what fan should i get to upgrade>? also is it easy to install and can i install it myself?

I am confused, so your FSB was at 100 and you just set it to 133? 133 is the norm for that CPU, if you set the FSB to 166 then it is being overclocked and thus generates more heat. If that's not it try adding some case fans and check and see if your heatsink is on properly.

i didint no until recently that u can set it to 133 to crank like almost twice as much power actually only like 400 mhz but its awesome..

so did it and those r my current temps....when it was 100 my mb temp was 36 and i forgot my cpu temp but it was lower....

Those are fine temps as long as your system is stable. Other people might say it's a bit high, but they are just cooling freaks with too much money.
