Question about my network at home

I already have a wireless network at home that works fine, but my brother who just got a laptop for his job, doesn't have a wireless network card. He doesn't want to pay 80$CAN just to get one. So now I'm trying to figure out what i can do ... I thought that because my computer is connected wirelessly to the router, I can connect my bro's laptop to it which would be then sharing the connection. So I bought a crossed network cable and tried connecting the two computers. My computer instantly recognised that i had a new connection somewhere. But because my bro has Windows NT (a very castrated version of it), I really don't know what to do at his end. So now I'm asking for your help people. What should I do (and i need details ... cuz i suck at networking).
Thx in advance,
Justin

if you install ICS on your computer you'll have two dhcp servers on the same subnet and most likley have trouble. if your router has a lan port plug his computer into it with patch cord (not the crossover)

not sure what else to do but i know two dhcp servers dishing out ip's make trouble

How come he can't just hook into the router? I've seen very few wireless routers with just a WAN port. But then again, I could be wrong.
