Question about my ip

Is it safe to put your ip address on AT? is it dangerous to post my website that is hosted off my Mac with apache? all it is, is the ip. I'll delete this once I get some responses.

I woudn't post my IP on AT just because of the public exposure. I wouldn't think that anyone on AT would do anything, but you never know.

If it's not a dedicated machine and you haven't configured some type of DMZ for it.... well..... it's just not a good idea... more than likely nothing would happen... but you never can tell.... just get a 3-95.com account and register at godaddy... that's like $50 a year for a site... you'll be amazed at the uses you find for it....

My website (listed in sig) is hosted off my 2000 machine using Apache... It is just an IP right now, and I haven't had any problems. I am behind a hardware firewall and all, I don't know if that makes difference. I am working on setting up my official domain name to redirect to it with URL masking and all... should be working sometime tomorrow.

just register a domain name and use zoneedit. that's what paulson does with his site, paulsonator.com
