I am using Efficient Networks' SpeedStream 5260. It has four LEDs: "sys", "atm", "dsl", and "enet".
Back when I didn't have DSL problems, when I would turn on the modem, the "sys" and "enet" lights would immediately light up. Then the "dsl" LED would start alternating from orange to green, and after about 5 seconds, it would turn green and the "atm" would finally light up.
Now, when I turn it on, only "sys" lights up, then "dsl" and "atm" would work as described above. The problem is, the "enet" light NEVER lights up.
It seems that my ISP cut off my DSL on the same day as I had a nasty thunderstorm that fried my router.
So, I am wondering, could "enet" failure be because something is wrong with the DSL modem (thunderstorm?), or because I have no DSL feed at the moment?
I am a bit curious about this whole situation.
