the halluu boys just built me a stronghold and i own the land its own, the manor they built there, is the top floor my room or is it like shaired. Was the top room built just for me? (i know that i can use it, but im really getting into this game). i want my own private crib in the game, and caius house sucks, i killed vorar helas and im using his house as a wharehouse

Its your room! I haven't played in a while but I didn't like any of the strongholds, I prefered downloading a house mod and living out of that, based in a city with the stores, guilds and transportations easily available. The strongholds are in middle of no where.

It sure was fun "acquiring" your own house in each city for storage =). I was an alchemist and needed all of the space I could find for reagents. I made some extremely potent potions in my day, and used the intelligence boost to do some uber-enchanting.

One of the mages in Balmora sells a basic lock spell. It locks a chest for 10 pts, I believe. If you want something more powerful, then buy the spell and go to a spell maker and make a more potent one.

I just realized this... but why would you need to lock your chests? It's not like the NPCs will go and loot your stuff.

Don't put your stuff in chests, it will disappear.
Put your stuff on the ground.
pic of my room

I live in the fighter's guild in ald ruhn, I killed everyone off in there.

not true of ALL chests, just ones you clean out -- your stuff disappears when they re-fill themselves.

Some safe chests:
Balmora - right of Mage Guild (leave all existing junk in place! careful not to mix your petty soul gems in with ones already there)
Ald Ruhn - Mage Guild guest rooms (and it's OK to sleep there if a Guild member)

(Of course for other chests it might not be worth the risk to see whether their contents are stable or shift over time)

I downloaded a nice townhouse in Caldera. It comes with several large chests that will permanantly store whatever I put in them.

what about the chest in my stronghold? it had 83 gold in it by defalut, one of the things that i worried of it not being my room, will my scrolls that i put in it disappear?
