Question about my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

This may be a simple question but I got nothing using the search function of the site. My motherboard has dual NIC ports; I am currently using one, but what is the point of the other? Can it really be used at the same time, and if so, how would you set it up, just plug in another cat5 to it?

my A8R32-MVP has dual ports as well. I have found a few uses for them.

1) Home network needs specific settings, but at lan parties I use the DHCP since the specific settings don't work well. One port is set up for home, the other is set to use DHCP.
2) I've hooked up the little brother's computer to mine to access the home network printer (share it) but he isn't allowed on the internet. With that he can access the printer but not the internet.
3) In my dorm room I have to log into the school network each morning. I have a couple other computers in the room to run folding at home but not enough monitors/KB/mice to go around to log each one on individually. I set my computer up as a router or gateway so the other computers can access the internet through it without having to log each individual computer in.

I think one of the ports on the nvidia-based boards has nvidia's hardware firewall on it. I've heard good and bad about it.

You need to make sure that it is enabled in the BIOS and you need to install a driver for it in XP.

What is the highest stable FSB you can get from this motherboard?

I'll have to check when I get home, I'm not sure what it's set at now.

I've been running this mobo for about 20mos, 320 is the best I can get completely stable. It will boot and bench at 325 but fails prime within an hour or two
