Question about MSI K8N Neo 4 SLI Orange PCI slots...

my questions are obvious. Ive read that its a "communications slot" but is it really just an orange PCI slot colored for marketing use? or is it really better for some reason. Secondly, is there any difference in the SATA ports for the NON platinum SLI version. they are labeled 1-4 and im wondering which i should use for my raptor raid 0 setup. THanks!

Doing a little Googling, the orange PCI slot is reserved for a proprietary communications card that MSI has yet to announce. This may mean that the orange slot is not useable as a normal PCI slot.

Regarding your SATA question, the Platinum's first four SATA ports are SATA2 capable while the non-Platinum's are SATA1. I don't think SATA1 is a bottleneck for current drive setups. I'd plug your drives into SATA port 1 and 2, but I don't think it really matters.
