Question about MS Part Numbers

I recently received a copy of WinXP Pro from a relative as a birthday gift but I don't really need it as I already have all the copies I need. It appears to be a full retail version, but I'm not 100% sure. Is there any way to determine if it is retail, NFR, etc. from the part number or anything else visible on the outside of the box. If it is the normal retail version I'd like to ebay it.
