Question about money orders..

is there an expiration date on them? I just went thru my stuff from 3 years ago when I moved out of my apartment and found a money order I haven't cashed yet. The MO was made out on October 20, 2000.

On some I think there might be but I am not sure. Does it have a number so you can contact the issuer?

USPS MO's have no expiration. Western Union MO's don't either, but on their website it says after a certain amount of time (3 months, or 3 years, I think) they charge a fee when you cash it in.

What a coincidence...I was just looking at MO's today. USPS seems to be the way to go. It's so cheap!!

What type of MO is it kt, USPS, Western Union etc.?

Wow, you must scrolled real far down to see this thread. Not sure who issue the MO. I remember seeing Union Bank in smaller letter somewhere on the money order. I went ahead and cashed it and I didn't get hassled or anything.
