uhh is it safe to unplug my chipset fan? i have an abit nf7-s and the fan is really loud and annoying.

safe to unplug it? i do little OCing, currently have Mobile 2400 @ 2.2ghz atm. only upped the volt to the cpu
 
ummm, there might be a reason why there is a fan on that heatsink i would unplug it and see if it runs hot make sure it doesnt if it does than you can go get a zalman nb heatsink its fanless and will cool your nb.
